Having a form of honeycomb and coated with platinum,

It is the most common
catalyst type in the automotive market.
Metallic catalyst
Having a form of roll of stainless steel coated with platinum, palladium and/or rhodium. Foils catalytic converters are more resistant to vibration and thermal shocks than ceramic catalysts.

Aiming to measure the concentration of oxygen in the exhaust gas of a car. Inside, we can find a small ceramic part coated with PGMs.
